Our Story
Built by Gamers, One Season at a Time
FocusMetaPlay began as a six-rig loft above a coffee roaster and grew into one of East London’s most-loved play spaces. Here is how we levelled up.
The Loft Opens
We fitted out a small Shoreditch loft with six custom rigs and a beaten-up sofa. Word spread fast among the local ranked crowd.
The Arena Floor
We knocked through to the ground floor of 58 Curtain Road, adding a 20-seat esports arena and a proper casting booth for weekend leagues.
VR Free-Roam Deck
A 90 square-metre tracked VR deck landed upstairs, letting up to eight players roam untethered through the same virtual map.
Creator Studio
We opened a soundproofed streaming studio so members can record, cast and coach without leaving the building.

Every zone is staffed, sanitised between sessions and bookable by the hour or as part of a longer package.
RTX Battlestations
Twenty-four custom rigs running RTX 4080 GPUs on 240Hz displays, with mechanical keyboards, low-latency wireless mice and Steam, Epic and Riot pre-loaded. Peripherals are wiped down between every booking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need before your first visit to Curtain Road.
Walk-ins are welcome whenever we have free stations, but weekends and evenings fill up fast. We recommend booking online or by phone at least a day ahead for groups of four or more, and a week ahead for arena events.
We open Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 23:00, Friday 12:00 to 01:00, Saturday 10:00 to 01:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 22:00. The last VR session starts one hour before close.
Under-16s are very welcome until 20:00 and must be signed in by a parent or guardian for their first visit. After 20:00 the venue is 16+, and our late Friday and Saturday sessions are 18+ with ID.
Absolutely. Our arena and events packages start at £180 and include a dedicated host, live casting and a printed scoreboard. We can arrange catering from our neighbours on Rivington Street and tailor the games to your group.
Yes — every station comes with a mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse and headset, and VR headsets and controllers are provided on the deck. All equipment is sanitised between bookings, and you’re welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.
